Basic information on higher education institutions (HEIs) operating in the 2024/25 academic year under the Law on Higher Education and Science. Data on the higher education institutions, students and graduates by type of institutions of the system of higher education and science, broad and narrow fields of education, age and sex, academic teachers, non-degree postgraduate programmes, doctoral education, and conferred academic degrees.

In the years 2022–2024, 36.5% of industrial enterprises and 28.9% of service enterprises performed innovation activities. Expenditures on innovation activities incurred in 2024 in industrial enterprises amounted to PLN 24 104.3 million, and in service enterprises – PLN 33 438.9 million.

On a typical working day 65.3 million trips in the territory of Poland were noted. Most of them started in Mazowieckie voivodeship (9.8 million), the least – in Opolskie voivodeship (1.7 million).

On the last day of May 2025, the population of employed persons in the national economy was 15 000.5 thousand, i.e. 0.8% fewer than in May 2024. Compared with the previous month, their number decreased by 0.5%.

In 2024, there were 2 374.5 thousand non-financial enterprises in Poland, of which 2 307.8 thousand were microenterprises. With regard to the type of business activity conducted, trade enterprises remained the largest group in population of non-financial enterprises (17.9% of total); and in terms of location – entities based in the Mazowieckie Voivodship (20.8% of total).

The elaboration consists of an analytical part and a table part. The analytical commentary contains the description of the financial situation of local government units of the Voivodship with charts and maps illustrating this situation. The tables present the value of the budgets, their structure, and differences between them stemming from the differences of the tasks carried out by local government units at different levels.
