Basic information about current data on the area of the country, population and population density at various levels of aggregation, resulting from changes introduced annually in the territorial division of the country and changes in the state of population. In addition to the tabular part, the publication contains among others, data sources, methodological notes and synthetic description of the data including a reference to the previous year.

Pursuant to Council Directive (EU) 2024/1265 of 29 April 2024 amending Council Directive 2011/85/EU of 8 November 2011 on requirements for budgetary frameworks of the Member States, Member States, starting from the first quarter of 2026, are required to publish quarterly data on general government deficit and debt, separately for all sub-sectors.
