According to preliminary data construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out domestically by construction enterprises employing more than 9 persons was in January 2020 by 6.5% higher than a year before (against an increase by 3.2% the year before) and by 57.3% lower compared with December 2019 (against a decrease by 61.2% the year before).

In January 2020 retail sales at constant prices were by 3.4% higher than the year before (against a growth of 6.1% in January 2019). Compared with December 2019 retail sales decreased by 20.6%.

Entities of the national economy in the REGON register in Warsaw capital city. As of end of 2019

At the end of 2019, there were 456 338 entities of the national economy registered, i.e. by 5.2% more than a year before. In the total number of entities, natural persons conducting economic activity prevailed (55.6%). The majority of entities (19.4%) conducted professional, scientific and technical activities, however the largest increase as compared to 2018 was recorded in the communication and information section (by 9.6%).
