According to the flash estimate, gross domestic product (GDP) in volume terms seasonally unadjusted was higher by 3.1% in the 4th quarter of 2019 year-to-year against 4.9% in the corresponding period of 2018.

According to preliminary data, in January 2020 consumer prices were higher by 4,4% compared with the corresponding month of the previous year. As related to the previous month consumer prices increased by 0,9%.

According to preliminary data, the price index of consumer goods and services in January 2020 as related to December 2019 amounted to 100.9 (price increase of 0.9%).

At the end of 2019, there were 854457 entities of the national economy registered, i.e. by 4.7% more than in the previous year. Over half of the units (53.4%) had their seat in m.st. Warszawa. The largest number of entities (21.9%) dealt with trade; repair of motor vehicles, however the highest increase as compared to 2018 occurred in the section of information and communication (by 9.9%).
