Distribution of wages and salaries in the national economy in September 2025
In September 2025, the median monthly gross wage and salary decreased in nominal terms by 1.8% compared with August 2025, while compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, it increased in nominal terms by 6.9%. During the same period, the average monthly gross wage and salary decreased in nominal terms by 2.0% compared with August 2025, and increased in nominal terms by 7.1% compared with September 2024.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, there were 2 909 645 active enterprises in Poland. With regard to the kind of economic activity, the largest population were enterprises from section trade; repair of motor vehicles (17.0% of total). The largest number of active enterprises had their registered offices in the Mazowieckie voivodship (20.2% of total).

The demand for labour in Quarter 4 2025
In Poland, at the end of Quarter 4 2025, there were 9.4% fewer job vacancies than at the end of Quarter 3 2025. The job vacancy rate decreased by 0.07 percentage points (pp) and amounted to 0.71%.

Foreign trade turnover of goods in total and by countries in January 2026
Foreign trade turnover in January 2026 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 120.6 bn, while in imports - PLN 117.8 bn. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 2.8 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of last year exports decreased by 5.9%, and imports by 9.3%.

Consumer pirces in February 2026 increased by 2.1% compared with the corresponding month of the previous year (with an increase of prices of services by 4.8% and goods by 1.0%). As related to the previous month consumer prices increased by 0.3% (of which services by 0.7% and goods by 0.2%).

In March 2026, consumer sentiment moods deteriorated, both regarding the current and future situation (compared to the previous month). Residential construction in the period of January-February 2026
In the period January–February 2026, 3.7% less dwellings were completed compared to the same period last year. The number of dwellings in which construction began also decreased (by 21.8%), whereas the number of dwellings for which permits were granted increased by 0.1%.

In February 2026, sold production of industry was by 1.5% higher than in February 2025 (when a decrease was recorded by 1.9%), whereas in comparison with January 2026, it increased by 2.7%. In March 2026, general business climate indicators for most of presented types of activity point at deterioration or stabilisation of the economy. In 2025 gross financial result of the surveyed non-financial enterprises was higher by 12.4% comparing to a year earlier. The economic and financial indicators improved. Investment outlays were higher by 3.2% than in the previous year (when there was a decrease by 7.8%).

Financial results of banks in 2025
In 2025 the net financial result of the banking sector amounted to PLN 48.7 bn, in comparison with PLN 40.1 bn in 2024. The total bank balance sheets increased by 9.6% y/y and amounted to PLN 3,633.6 bn. The value of loans for the non-financial sector increased by 6.1% y/y to PLN 1,266.6 bn and the value of deposits of this sector increased by 8.3% y/y to PLN 2,103.5 bn.

First aid and emergency medical services in 2025
In 2025 emergency rescue teams provided health care benefits in the occurrence place to 3.3 million of persons. In hospital emergency wards or admission rooms 6.6 million patients received health care benefits (increase by 2.9%). 4.9 million were discharged home and 1.7 million received inpatient treatment.

Border traffic and expenses made by foreigners in Poland and by Poles abroad in the 4th quarter of 2025
In the 4th quarter of 2025, there was an increase in the border traffic of foreigners by 1.7% and of Poles by 2.5%, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. The values of goods and services purchased by foreigners in Poland and goods and services purchased by Poles abroad during this period were higher than in the 4th quarter of 2024 by 9.5% and 9.7% respectively.

On the last day of October 2025, the population of employed persons in the national economy was 15 121.5 thousand, i.e. 0.2% fewer than in October 2024. Compared with the previous month, their number was at a similar level.

Cultural and creative industries in 2024
In 2024, there were 143.7 thousand enterprises classified as cultural and creative industries. The number of employed persons amounted to 281.0 thousand (an increase by 18.7%), and the average paid employment amounted to 96.5 thousand full-time jobs (an increase by 4.3%). The average gross monthly wages and salaries amounted to PLN 9,193. Increase of both number of persons employed and average paid employment was recorded only for micro-companies.

To generalise the survey results to the general population from the 4th quarter of 2023 data on the resident population from the balance sheets compiled from the results of the National Population and Housing Census 2021 were used. Data from the period from the 1st quarter of 2020 to the 3rd quarter of 2023 were recalculated according to the new basis for generalising the results, and are therefore comparable.
