Presented data are calculated on the basis of the results of the Report on poultry hatching and the production of eggs for consumption (R-09W), in particular this applies to parts of the report concerning the packing of eggs for consumption.
From 2023, the scope of collected information has been extended in order to include farming method systems i.e.: cages, free range, barn and organic.
From 2024, the scope of shared data has been expanded to include the export of eggs for consumption coming from particular farming systems of laying hen.
All packing centres of eggs for consumption specified in the list of the General Veterinary Inspectorate are covered by the report.
The presented data on number of packed eggs does not cover the entire production of eggs for consumption.
The reporting does not cover the production of unpacked chicken eggs intended for processing, industry, self-supply and direct sale.
