Statistics in focus Information on entities of the national economy entered in the REGON register - April 2023

As at the end of April 2023 the REGON register included 5 039.3 thous. of national economy entities, i.e. by 0.3% more than a month before (3.5% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year). Newly registered entities in the REGON register A decrease in the number of newly registered entities was recorded for civil law partnerships (by 33.7%) and commercial companies (by 22.7%) in relation to the previous month. The number of newly registered natural persons conducting economic activity decreased (by 13.4%).

Statistics in focus Foster care in 2022

At the end of 2022, 72.8 thousand children deprived entirely or partly of their own family, were staying in foster care, of which 56.2 thousand in family foster care and 16.6 thousand children in institutional foster care. In comparison to 2021 the number of children in foster care increased by 0.7%.
