As at the last day of August 2023, there were 15 102.2 thousand employed persons in the national economy. The average age and median age of employed persons in the national economy were similar. The average age was 42.6 years and the median age was 42.0 years.

Statistics in focus Adult Education in 2022

In 2022, 54.0% of people in Poland aged 18-69 declared that they acquired knowledge in various ways. 48.3% of them (11.4 million people) learned informally from co-workers, friends, family members or on their own. Education in the school system or in higher education (formal education) covered 2.3 million people, i.e. 9.2% of the surveyed population.
