In April 2021, there was a slight improvement in both current and future consumer sentiment moods compared to the previous month. The current consumer confidence indicator, synthetically describing the current trends in individual consumption, was -22.5a which was by 0.5 p.p. higher in relation to last month.

In most of presented kinds of activities general business climate indicator in April is at a slightly higher level than in the previous month.

According to preliminary data, in March 2021 the prices of construction and assembly production in comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year increased by 2.6%, and in comparison with February 2021 - by 0.4%.

In March 2021, sold production of industry was by 18.9% higher than in March 2020, when a decrease was recorded by 2.5% as compared to the previous year, whereas in comparison with February 2021, it increased by 18.6%.

According to preliminary data, in March 2021 the prices of sold production of industry increased compared to February 2021 by 1.3 % and compared to that recorded in the corresponding month of the previous year - by 3.9%. According to preliminary data, the prices of sold production of industry in March 2021 increased by 1.3% compared to February 2021. Prices growth was recorded in all sections of the industry. The highest growth of prices was recorded in the section mining and quarrying - by 4.1%, of which in mining of metal ores- by 8.7% and in mining of coal and lignite - by 0.5%.

In March 2021, average paid employment in enterprise sector was lower by 1.3% y/y and amounted to 6330.3 thousand, while average wages and salaries were higher by 8.0% y/y and amounted to 5929.05 PLN (gross).
