Foreign and domestic tourists using the accommodation base and granted accommodation in tourist accommodation facilities with 10 or more beds.

In March 2020, in connection with the dissemination of an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, referred to as COVID-19, Poland declared an epidemiological threat, followed by the state of an epidemic. From March to August 2020, 14.1% of non-profit organizations undertook additional activity due to the COVID-19 epidemic. Most frequently, they included social services (63.3%) or material support (40.7%). During this period, the organizations provided a total of PLN 383.3 million in the form of tangible and financial support.

In 2019, 78.5 thousand out of 89.4 thousand of active non-profit organizations cooperated with other entities, i.e. 0.6 ppt more compared to 2017. These organizations most frequently cooperated with public institutions (81.2%). As many as 71.2% of the cooperating organizations declared the absence of barriers to cooperation (73.8% in 2017).

In the 3rd quarter of 2020, there was a decrease in border traffic compared to the corresponding period of the previous year – of foreigners by 38.5%, of Poles by 34.1%. The values of goods and services purchased in this period by foreigners in Poland and goods and services purchased by Poles abroad were lower than in the third quarter of 2019 by 46.6% and 42.6%, respectively.

In November 2020 entities having 50 or more persons employed and participating in the monthly survey of production of industrial products, on voluntary basis additionally reported production of 7 408 364 face masks used in medicine and 26 736 071 other protective face masks.
