The Labour Demand Survey is conducted using a representative method on a quarterly basis. According to the scope of the survey, it covers notional economy entities and their local units employing at least 1 person. The survey shows that at the end of the second quarter of 2021, the number of occupied jobs was almost the same as at the end of the second quarter of 2020.

At the end of the second quarter of 2021, the number of job vacancies in Poland was 142.8 thousand and was 29.6% higher than at the end of the first quarter of 2021.

Price index of investment outlays for two quarters of 2021 as compared to the two quarters of 2020 was 102.3 (prices increased by 2.3%).

In the first quarter of 2021, in Poland, national economy entities (parent or local units) with at least 1 employee were seeking 423.9 thousand people to be employed and according to their recruitment plans for the remaining quarters of the year they were seeking another 598.7 thousand people. 118.1 thousand employee terminations were planned to be done by the end of the year.

Consumer prices according to the flash estimate in August 2021, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 5,4% (price index 105,4), and as related to the previous month increased by 0,2% (price index 100,2).

In 2020 domestic deliveries of meat (including pork, beef, veal and poultry meat) amounted to PLN 4194 thousand tons and were higher by 3.7% compared to the previous year. The deliveries of both raw meat from animals for slaughter (by 5.1%) and poultry meat (by 2.0%) increased.
