In November 2021, there was a deterioration in both current and future consumer sentiment moods compared to the previous month. The current consumer confidence indicator, synthetically describing the current trends in individual consumption, was -23.3[1] which was by 5.5 p.p. lower in relation to last month.

In October 2021, average paid employment in enterprise sector was higher by 0.5% y/y and amounted to 6351.1 thousand, while average wages and salaries were higher by 8.4% y/y and amounted to 5917.15 PLN (gross).

2,279 subjects participated in the study. Financial instruments in assets were shown by 2,164 enterprises for the amount of PLN 603.8 billion and financial instruments in liabilities were shown by 2,011 enterprises for the amount of PLN 578.6 billion. Derivatives in assets and liabilities were shown by 332 and 405 entities, respectively, with a value of PLN 9.1 billion and PLN 12.0 billion.

Foreign trade turnover in January – September 2021 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 942.9 bn, while in imports - PLN 934.7 bn. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 8.2 bn, while in the same period of 2020 year amounted to PLN 29.9 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of 2020 exports increased by 24.4%, while imports by 28.4%.

In July and August 2021, 1.7 million tourists were accommodated in tourist accommodation establishments located in coastal areas, and 8.6 million overnight stays were provided for them. Compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists as well as number of overnight stays was higher by 13.5% and 18.3%, respectively.
