In 2019, the number of social assistance beneficiaries amounted to 1 775.8 thousand people and was by 195 thousand lower than in 2018. The range of benefiting from social assistance, i.e. the share of beneficiaries in the total population, decreased by 0.5 pp and was 4.6%.

Occupancy of tourist accommodation establish ments in Poland in July and August 2020

In July 2020, 2.7 million tourists were
accommodated in tourist accommodation
establishments and 9.1 million overnight stays
were provided for them. Compared to July 2019,
this was lower by 33.2% and 31.1% respectively.
Less tourist traffic was also recorded in August
2020, compared to the corresponding month of the
previous year, when the number of persons
accommodated was lower by about 25.7% and the
number of overnight stays by 20.6%.

Production of industrial products related to the prevention of spreading / combating COVID-19 in September 2020

In September 2020 entities having 50 or more persons employed and participating in the monthly survey of production of industrial products, on voluntary basis additionally reported production of 5 090 482 face masks used in medicine and 11 237 711 other protective face masks.
