According to preliminary data, in April 2022 the prices of construction and assembly production in comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year increased by 11.0%, and in comparison with March 2022 - by 1.0%.

As of the end of 2021, there were 523 indoor cinemas operating in Poland. 1.4 million screenings were shown in indoor cinemas, watched by 27.5 million viewers. 302 films intended for cinema and television screenings were produced in Poland in 2021.

In April 2022, sold production of industry was by 13.0% higher than in April 2021, when an increase was recorded by 44.2% as compared to the previous year, whereas in comparison with March 2022, it decreased by 11.3%. In the period January- April of 2022, sold production of industry was by 15.1% higher than in the corresponding period of 2021, which saw an increase by 15.4%.

In 2021, more work permits for foreigners were issued in Poland than in the previous year. A similar situation took place in the years 2015–2019, when a systematic increase in the number of permits issued was observed in Poland. The exception was 2020, when an annual decrease in the number of work permits issued was observed, which could have been caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, 504.2 thousand work permits for foreigners were issued in Poland. There were 97.7 thousand more of them than in 2020 and 438.4 thousand more compared with 2015. They were still most often issued to Ukrainian citizens.

Average monthly gross wage and salary in enterprise sector in April 2022 was PLN 6626,95.

According to preliminary data, the prices of sold production of industry in April 2022 increased compared to March 2022 by 1.9% and compared to that recorded in the corresponding month of the previous year - by 23.3%.

Procurement prices of basic agricultural products increased in April 2022 in comparison with the previous month (by 8.7%) as well as while compared to the corresponding period of the last year (by 45.1%).

In April 2022, average paid employment in the enterprise sector compared to April 2021 was higher by 2.8% y/y and amounted to 6496.6 thousand full-time equivalents. In comparison to the previous month average paid employment increased minimally (by 0.2%).

In all of presented kinds of activities general business climate indicator in May is at a higher or similar level as compared to the previous month. In most of researched areas “forecast” components improve, whereas “diagnostic” ones increase or do not change.
