In the second quarter of 2022, there were 93 660 registrations of enterprises recorded i.e. 1.3% more than in the corresponding period of previous year and 80 enterprises declared bankruptcy i.e. 4.8% less than in the corresponding period of previous year.

Consumer prices according to the flash estimate in July 2022, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 15,5% (price index 115,5), and as related to the previous month increased by 0,4% (price index 100,4).

In the last week of March 2021, the number of economically active persons aged 15 years and more comprised 17 773.6 thousand. Within the scope of this population, 17 130.1 thousand constituted employed persons, while 643.5 thousand – unemployed persons. Unemployment rate, determined as the share of unemployed persons in the total number of economically active persons, accounted for 3.6%.

Foreign trade turnover in 2021 according to final data in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 1 316.0 bn, while in imports - PLN 1 323.0 bn. The negative balance reached the level of PLN 7.0 bn, while in the same period of 2020 year was positive and amounted to PLN 47.2 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of 2020 exports increased by 23.9%, while imports by 30.3%.

In 2021, fire brigades intervened in 579.7 thousand events. Interventions concerned 106.5 thousand fire events, 428.0 thousand local threats, and 45.2 thousand false alarms.
