According to the flash estimate, gross domestic product (GDP) in volume terms seasonally unadjusted was lower by 0.5% in the 2nd quarter of 2023 year-to-year against 6.1% increase in the corresponding period of 2022.

Consumer prices in July 2023, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 10,8% (with an increase of prices of services – by 11,3% and goods – by 10,6%). As related to the previous month consumer prices decreased by 0,2% (of which goods – by 0,6% and the prices of services increased – by 0,8%).

In the second quarter of 2023, there were 88 549 registrations of enterprises recorded i.e. 5.5% less than in the corresponding period of previous year and 97 enterprises declared bankruptcy i.e. 21.3% more than in In the second quarter of 2022.

As at the end of July 2023 the REGON register included 5 083.3 thous. of national economy entities, i.e. by 0.3% more than a month before (3.3% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year).

In 2022, 92 debt collection entities were included in the study. The nominal total value of all debts serviced by these entities, as at the end of 2021, amounted to PLN 147,1 billion.
