Statistics in focus Physical education in Poland in 2021

In 2021, there were 66 sports associations in Poland. Compared to 2020, the number of competitors and coaches holding licences from the Polish sports associations increased, whereas the number of Polish representatives, judges and instructors decreased. Physical education organisations associated 6.7 thousand units. In relation to the previous year, the number of units increased slightly whereas the number of members and persons practising sports in these organizations decreased.

At the end of the first quarter of 2022, there were 158.7 thousand job vacancies in Poland, 44.0% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year. Over the year, the number of newly created jobs decreased slightly (by 1.0%). On the other hand, the number of jobs liquidated during the quarter increased (by 16.6%). In the first quarter of 2022, there were 2.3 newly created jobs per liquidated job.

At the end of 2021, there were operating 258 health resort facilities. 599.9 thousand patients were admitted to health resort facilities during a year, of which 529.9 thousand were inpatients. 61.0 thousand inpatients were treated in 43 inpa-tient rehabilitation facilities.
