Table Weekly deaths

Summaries of weekly deaths, which include age, sex as well as subregion of residence of the deceased, are available for all the years from 2000 (Weekly deaths). The data was prepared by Statistics Poland, taking into account the detailed levels of aggregation, i.e. sex, age groups categorised in 5-year periods, subregions (NUTS-3, according to NUTS2016) and weeks of occurrence. The data contains information about Polish residents only.

Statistics in focus Average paid employment and average gross wages and salaries in enterprise sector in June 2022

In June 2022, average paid employment in the enterprise sector compared to June 2021 was higher by 2.2% y/y and amounted to 6496.7 thousand full-time equivalents. In comparison to the previous month average paid employment increased minimally (by 0.1%). Average gross wages and salaries in the enterprise sector in June 2022 compared to June 2021 were higher by 13.0% y/y and amounted to 6554.87 PLN. In regard to May 2022 average gross wages and salaries increased by 2.4%.

Statistics in focus Physical education in Poland in 2021

In 2021, there were 66 sports associations in Poland. Compared to 2020, the number of competitors and coaches holding licences from the Polish sports associations increased, whereas the number of Polish representatives, judges and instructors decreased. Physical education organisations associated 6.7 thousand units. In relation to the previous year, the number of units increased slightly whereas the number of members and persons practising sports in these organizations decreased.
