In July 2022, average paid employment in the enterprise sector compared to July 2021 was higher by 2.3% y/y and amounted to 6508.3 thousand full-time equivalents.

In June 2022 entities having 50 or more persons employed and participating in the monthly survey of production of industrial products, reported production of 10 025 170 face masks used in medicine and 4 650 835 other protective face masks.

In all of presented kinds of activities general business climate indicator in July is at a lower or similar level as compared to the previous month. In most of researched areas “forecast” components deteriorate, whereas “diagnostic” ones do not change or worsen.

In June 2022, average paid employment in the enterprise sector compared to June 2021 was higher by 2.2% y/y and amounted to 6496.7 thousand full-time equivalents. In comparison to the previous month average paid employment increased minimally (by 0.1%). Average gross wages and salaries in the enterprise sector in June 2022 compared to June 2021 were higher by 13.0% y/y and amounted to 6554.87 PLN. In regard to May 2022 average gross wages and salaries increased by 2.4%.

In 2021, there were 66 sports associations in Poland. Compared to 2020, the number of competitors and coaches holding licences from the Polish sports associations increased, whereas the number of Polish representatives, judges and instructors decreased. Physical education organisations associated 6.7 thousand units. In relation to the previous year, the number of units increased slightly whereas the number of members and persons practising sports in these organizations decreased.

As of the end of 2021 there were 7,693 public libraries, which conducted 873 branches for children and youth and 842 library service points. 4.8 million library users1 borrowed 89.1 million volumes of collection during the year.
