Frequency of publication: annual edition

The publication contains a comprehensive set of statistical data, showing the standard of living of the society, the economic situation and the condition of the natural environment in the spatial approach. The information presented in the territorial division was selected according to its usefulness for comparisons and analyses of regional diversity of phenomena. Selected economic categories are presented in a dynamic way as well as in relation to the national and the European Union averages.

The current edition of the Statistical Yearbook presents the results of the National Population and Housing Census 2021 that concerns the state and structure of the population, dwelling stocks (including the number of dwellings and rooms) and also the preliminary data of the economic activity of the population. Based on the results of the Agricultural Census 2020, information on farm labour input was published.

For the first time in the Statistical Yearbook of Voivodships was presented the Delimitation of Rural Areas for statistical purposes, developed by the Central Statistical Office. Within the Delimitation there were distinguished the following groups of rural areas: high density agglomeration areas, low density agglomeration areas, high density non-agglomeration areas and low density non-agglomeration areas. The use of the DOW will enable detailed presentation of data on rural areas, emphasising their diversity.
