45,660 persons injured in accidents at work were reported in January-September 2024, by 0.3% fewer than in January-September 2023. The number of injured persons per 1,000 employed persons (the incidence rate) increased from 3.22 to 3.28.
In January-September 2024, the most victims were recorded in accidents at work with other effects - 45,169 persons, 300 persons sustained injuries in serious accidents, while 191 persons were injured in fatal accidents. 199 persons were injured while performing remote work or telework.
The highest incidence rate was recorded for Śląskie (4.54), Opolskie (4.16), Zachodniopomorskie (4.07) Voivodships, the lowest for Mazowieckie (2.20), Małopolskie (2.60) and Podkarpackie (3.05).
