In 2023, the turnover of enterprises covered by the structural business statistics survey1 amounted to 8,543.6 billion PLN (i.e. 3.8% more than in 2022). The largest share of turnover was concentrated in the industry, accounting for 36.7% of total turnover.
According to the structural business statistics survey, in 2023 the number of active enterprises increased by 2.6% year-on-year and amounted to 2,746.4 thousand units. In services, where nearly 38% of all enterprises operated, the largest increase in the number of enterprises was recorded (by approximately 45 thousand, i.e. 4.5%). A decrease in the number of units was recorded in the trade; repair of motor vehicles section – by about 5 thousand (1.0%).
