Concerns tourist accommodation establishments with 10 or more bed places.
In 2023, 36.2 million tourists were accommodated in tourist accommodation establishments, with 92.8 million overnight stays. Compared to 2022, it was more by 5.8% and 3.2%, respectively. The occupancy rate of bed places in all tourist accommodation establishments in 2023 amounted to 40.5% and was higher by 0.1 percentage point compared to the previous year.
As of 31 July 2023, 9,809 tourist accommodation establishments were operating in Poland, 43 more (i.e. 0.4%) than the year before. The largest increase in the number of establishments was recorded in complexes of tourist cottages (increase of 57 establishments), followed by rooms for guests/private lodgings (up by 45 establishments) and school youth shelters (up by 13 establishments). Declines in the number of establishments operating in July 2023 were recorded in 12 types of establishments, with the highest one in agritourism lodgings (decrease of 29 establishments).
