At the end of 2024, there were 4.8 thousand nurseries, 0.9 thousand children’s clubs and 2.2 thousand day carers providing in total 237.3 thousand places. In nurseries there were 165.8 thousand children, 14.9 thousand in children’s clubs and 11.3 thousand at day carers’.
As of 31 December 2024, in Poland there were 4 776 nurseries (in 2023 - 4580). Most nurseries operated in Mazowieckie voivodeship (826) and the lowest number was recorded in Świętokrzyskie voivodeship (99). The facilities were run by physical persons (2 245), local government (1 289), legal persons (857), non-legal organisation units (381) and by public institutions (4).
