In 2021 the number of institutional care facilities for children up to age of 3 increased by 9.6% compared to the previous year. There were 5.0 thousand nurseries, children’s clubs and nursery wards, which had 191.6 thousand places. The indicator of the number of children up to age of 3 per 1 thousand population increased from 128 in 2020 to 155 in 2021.

Seasonally unadjusted gross domestic product (GDP) in the 1st quarter of 2022 was higher by 8.5% year-on-year comparision against the decrease of 0.6% in the corresponding quarter of 2021 (constant average prices of the previous year).

In 2020, the financial situation of households slightly improved despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic , which had a significant impact on the level and structure of expenditure in particular. The level of average monthly available income per capita in 2021 rounded to 1 PLN, amounted to PLN 2062 and in real terms it was higher by 2.2% (by 7.4% in nominal terms) than the income in 2020.

In 2021, compared to the previous year, there was an increase in transport of goods in most modes of transport. The number of passengers transported has increased in all modes of transport.

Consumer prices according to the flash estimate in May 2022, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 13,9% (price index 113,9), and as related to the previous month increased by 1,7% (price index 101,7).
