As of 31 December 2021, in Poland there were 2 015 stationary social welfare facilities, which had 127.3 thousand places in total in all facilities. 114.3 thousand residents stayed in stationary social welfare facilities, including 55.5 thousand women.

In the first four months of 2022, there were more dwellings completed than the year before. Whereas the number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project as well as dwellings in which construction has begun decreased.

The following report presents the preliminary results of the National Population and Housing Census. The census was carried out in Poland from April 1 to September 30, 2021, as of the state on March 31, 2021.

Acording to preliminary data construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out carried out domestically by construction enterprises employing more than 9 persons was in April 2022 by 9.3% higher than a year before (against a decrease of 4.2% the year before) and by 5.9% lower compared with March 2022 (an increase of 9.9% the year before).

In April 2022 retail sales[1] at constant prices were by 19,0% higher than the year before (against an increase of 21.1% in April 2021). Compared with March 2022 retail sales decreased by 0.1%. In the period of January-Apil[2] 2022 retail sales y/y were by 10.8% higher (against an increase of 6.4 in 2021).
