Two review tables complement the publication, containing selected information about the Voivodship against the countrywide background in 2021 and the most important data on the Voivodship in 2000, 2010, 2015 and 2021. The statistical material was supplemented with general notes and notes to the chapters explaining the terminology, methodology and scope of information.

Provisional estimates of gross domestic product in regional breakdown in 2021

In 2021, more than 1/2 of the national value of gross domestic product was generated in 5 regions: Warszawski stołeczny, Śląskie, Wielkopolskie, Dolnośląskie and Małopolskie.

The Statistical Offi ce in Łódź is pleased to present you with the twenty-third edition
of the Statistical Yearbook of the Łódzkie Voivodship. This publication is collective and has
a cognitive and contains the set of statistical information characterizing the living standards of inhabitants
and the economic potential of the voivodship as well as state of the environment.
As in the previous edition, detailed information on social changes and economic processes in
the Łódzkie Voivodship have been grouped into 21 chapters. The statistical tables were
complemented with maps and charts which enriched the substantive context of the Yearbook.
The current edition presents the preliminary results of the National Population and Housing
Census 2021.
The summaries of the presented data are two review tables containing the major data on
the voivodship in 2000, 2010, 2015 and 2021 as well as selected information on voivodship on
the background of the country in 2021. The statistical reference has been completed with general
notes with explanations of terminology, methodology and scope of information.
The Annex to this year’s edition of the publication contains basic statistical data in territorial
break-down according to the Delimitation of Rural Areas for statistical purposes. The use of
the Delimitation of Rural Areas will enable detailed presentation of the results of statistical surveys
on rural areas, emphasising their diversity.

The Statistical Office in Łódź presents the new edition of the publication "Statistics of Łódź" – which for over
twenty years, has been providing major statistical data characterizing the capital city of the region.
The publication starts with summary tables including major statistical information describing the city across
the years 2000–2021 and presenting Łódź on the background of the voivodship in 2021. The main part contains
a wide collection of data characterizing various aspects of economic and social life of the city in years
2020 and 2021. Additionally, the current edition presents the preliminary results of the National Population
and Housing Census 2021 on the state and structure of the population, the housing stock and the economic
activity.
Detailed tables have been preceded with methodological notes on sources and scope of presented data as
well as definitions of terms used. A collection of graphs illustrating some features, phenomena and observed
tendencies constitutes a supplement to the results presented in tables. In addition to the printed version,
the publication is prepared in electronic format, available at the website of the Statistical Office in Łódź.
Recommending "Statistics of Łódź 2022", I hope, that it will meet readers’ expectations and will constitute
a helpful basis for evaluation of the changes in the city.

Economic Activity of Population in Opolskie Voivodship in the 3rd quarter of 2022

Quarterly information about labour market was compiled on the basis of generalised results of Labour Force Survey (LFS), carried out in the 3rd quarter of 2022, compared to the results of these surveys from the previous quarter and corresponding periods of 2021 and 2010. The study contains information about i.a. economic activity level of population by demographic and social characteristics, employed and economically inactive persons.
The study takes into account the recalculated LFS results for the years 2010–2020, according to changes introduced from 2021 in the definitions of main categories of persons on the labour market (the applicable definitions are included in the publication Labour force survey in Poland).
