Cultural and creative industries in 2021

130.0 thousand enterprises belonging to the cultural and creative industries operated in 2021. The overwhelming majority of entities (99.2%) were micro-enterprises, comprising 75.8% of those working in the area of cultural and creative industries. Gross monthly salary per employee amounted to PLN 6,927, i.e. PLN 592 more than in 2020; it was higher by PLN 994 in comparison with all non-financial enterprises.

Activity of enterprises having foregin entities in 2021

At the end of 2021, 1 900 enterprises in Poland (an increase as compared to 2020 by 1.1%) declared involvement in 4 246 foreign entities (an increase by 5.4% comparing to 2020) in the form of shares, branches or in other forms. Majority of foreign entities were located in Germany, Czechia, Ukraine and the United States of America.

Public benefit organizations and 1% in 2021/2022

In the years 2008-2021, the number of active public benefit organizations (PBOs) increased from 6.2 thousand up to 9.4 thousand. In 2021, 8.9 thousand PBOs received a 1% of Personal Income Tax (PIT) deduction for 2020. The average amount of this deduction was PLN 125.0 thousand, and half of the authorized public benefit organizations received no more than PLN 6.0 thousand.

Economic Activity of Population in Opolskie Voivodship in the 4rd quarter of 2022

Quarterly information about labour market was compiled on the basis of generalised results of the representative Labour Force Survey (LFS), carried out in the 4th quarter of 2022, compared to the results of those surveys from the previous quarter and corresponding periods of 2021 and 2010. The study contains information about i.a. economic activity level of population by demographic and social characteristics, employed and economically inactive persons. The study takes into account the recalculated LFS results for the years 2010-2020, according to changes introduced in 2021 in the definitions of main categories of persons on the labour market (the applicable definitions are included in the publication Labour force survey in Poland).

In Q4 2022, there was an increase in the number of employed persons, and a decrease in the number of economically inactive persons compared to Q3 2022. Unemployed men looked for a job shorter than women, and unemployed urban residents shorter than rural residents.
