Tourism in the European Union countries - data for 2023

In 2023, in tourist accommodation establishments located in the 27 countries of the European Union 1.0 billion people were accommodated, with 2.9 billion overnight stays provided to them. Compared to 2022, both the number of tourists and the number of overnight stays provided to them increased - by 9.8% and 6.8% respectively.

Revitalisation in gminas in 2023

In 2023, 1,290 gminas (52.1% of all in Poland) carried out revitalisation activities based on revitalisation programmes (GPR/PR) and other strategic documents (IDS). In 2023, the revitalisation area covered 1,029.4 thousand hectares (3.3% of the country's total area) and was home to 4,823.4 thousand people (12.8% of Poland's population).
