Short-term analysis of phenomena and processes taking place, among others, in the area of the labour market, wages and salaries, prices, basic areas of the national economy (agriculture, industry, construction, domestic market), transport and foreign trade, as well as the situation in selected countries of the world. Moreover, information published quarterly concerns GDP estimates, demographic processes, financial results and investment outlays of non-financial enterprises.

Basic data and indicators characterizing the socio-economic situation of the country, presented in the form of data series - monthly, quarterly and annual – regarding, among others, national accounts, demographics, labour market, wages and salaries, social benefits, prices, basic national economy areas (agriculture, industry, construction, domestic market, transport) and foreign trade, as well as money supply, public finance, financial results of non-financial companies, as well as investment outlays.

Assessment of the situation in manufacturing, construction, trade and services is based upon the subjective opinions about actual and future business situation expressed by the directors of the surveyed companies.

At the end of 2024, in foster care there were 77.3 thousand children, including 59.8 thousand in family foster care and 17.5 thousand in institutional foster care. In comparison to 2023, the number of children in foster care increased by 2.6%.

Procurement prices of basic agricultural products increased in March 2025 in comparison with the previous month (by 2.5%) as well as while compared to the corresponding period of the last year (by 10.0%).

In April 2025, there was a deterioration in both current and future consumer sentiment moods compared to the previous month. The current consumer confidence indicator, synthetically describing the current trends in individual consumption, was minus 16.5 which was by 1.3 p.p. lower in relation to last month.

In 2024, 6.9 thousand mass events were organised in Poland. The events gathered a total of 28.2 million participants. Compared to 2023, the number of organised mass events increased by 8.7% and the number of participants increased by 4.7%.

As at the last day of November 2024, there were 15 160.5 thousand employed persons in the national economy. The average age and median age of employed persons in the national economy were similar. The average age was 42.8 years and the median age was 42.0 years.
