According to the EDP notification, in 2017 the general government deficit was equal 32 953 mln zl (1,7% of GDP), while the general government debt amounted to 1 003 399 mln zl (50,6% of GDP).

According to the final estimate gross domestic product (GDP) in 2016 grew by 3.0 % against 2.9 % previously published. The real growth of GDP in 2017 did not change and it was 4.6 %.

In March 2018 retail sales at constant prices were by 8.8% higher than the year before (against a growth of 7.9% in March 2017). The growth rate of retail sales was higher than in January and February this year, when a growth by 7.7% was recorded. In comparison with February 2018 retail sales were higher by 17.9%.
