In all presented kinds of activities general business climate indicator in October is at a lower level than in the previous month (except for wholesale trade).

In the period of nine months of 2020, there were more dwellings completed than the year before. The number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project and the number of dwellings in which construction has begun decreased.

In October 2020, there was a deterioration in both current and future consumer sentiment moods compared to the previous month. The current consumer confidence indicator, synthetically describing the current trends in individual consumption, was -20.0a which was by 5.0 p.p. lower in relation to last month.

According to preliminary data construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out domestically by construction enterprises employing more than 9 persons was in September 2020 by 9.8% lower than a year before (against an increase by 7.6% the year before) and by 15.5% higher compared with August 2020 (against an increase by 12.7% the year before).

In September 2020 retail sales at constant prices were by 2.5% higher than the year before (against a growth of 4.3% in September 2019).
