In August general business climate indicator is less negative than in July in all presented kinds of activities, but only in information and communication as well as financial and insurance activities sectors it is positive.

In the period of seven months of 2020, there were more dwellings completed than the year before. The number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project and the number of dwellings in which construction has begun decreased.

According to preliminary data construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out domestically by construction enterprises employing more than 9 persons was in July 2020 by 10.9% lower than a year before (against an increase by 6.6% the year before) and by 3,6% lower compared with June 2020 (against an increase by 5.8% the year before).

In July 2020 retail sales at constant prices were by 3.0% higher than the year before (against a growth of 5.7% in July 2019). Compared with June 2020 retail sales increased by 6.5%. In the period of January-July2 2020 retail sales y/y were by 3.9% lower (against a growth of 6.0% in 2019).
