In the first two months of 2022, there were slightly less dwellings completed than the year before. The number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project as well as dwellings in which construction has begun also decreased.

Acording to preliminary data construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out carried out domestically by construction enterprises employing more than 9 persons was in February 2022 by 21.2% higher than a year before (against a decrease of 16.9% the year before) and by 5.8% compared with January 2022 (an increase of 5.5% the year before).

In February 2022 retail sales at constant prices were by 8.1% higher than the year before (against a drop of 3.1% in February 2021). Compared with January 2022 retail sales increased by 1.8%. In the period of January-February 2022 retail sales y/y were by 9.0% higher (against a decrease of 4.9% in 2021).
