In the period of four months of 2017 there were less dwellings completed than the year before. The number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project and the number of dwellings in which construction has begun increased.

In April of 2017, sold production of industry was by 0.6% lower than in April of 2016, whereas an increase of 4.3% was reported in construction-assembly production. In the period January-April of 2017, sold production of industry was by 5.4% higher than in the corresponding period of 2016 which saw a 4.0% increase, whereas construction-assembly production was by 2.3% higher than in the corresponding period of 2016 which saw a 13.1% decrease.

The Statistical Office in Gdańsk presents the Report on the socio-economic situation of Pomorskie Voivodship in 2016. It is a successive edition of the publication featuring the economic processes occurring in Pomorskie Voivodship, including phenomena relevant to the socio-economic development of the region. The report consists mainly of analytical commentaries illustrated with maps and graphs showing trends observed during the past few years, enriched with review tables showing the phenomenon both countrywide and in the voivodship, as well as with detailed tables for the voivodship. Definitions of indicators and concepts used in the analysis and statistical tables are described in the general notes. Basic methodological explanations can also be found in the analytical part of the publication. The subject scope covers the most important sections of official statistics, including population, labour market, wages and salaries, prices, agriculture, industry, construction, financial results of enterprises and investment outlays.

Publication presents an analysis of occurrences relevant from the point of view of socio-economic development of the Śląskie Voivodship concerning i.a. demography, labour market, wages and salaries, social benefits, prices, industry, construction, agriculture, internal market, financial results of non-financial enterprises. Each of the 14 thematic chapters includes a concise, analytic commentary enriched with tabular and graphic form of data presentation in the extended retrospection 2010-1016. Selected categories are presented in dynamic terms and in relation to the country. Some data are presented in the breakdown by subregions and powiats for a more complete illustration of territorial differentiation. What is more, the Śląskie Voivodship is presented on the background of the country and on the background of other voivodships. The publication contains General notes and Basic tendencies in social and economic areas. The Annex to the Report is composed of review tables presenting selected information on the Śląskie Voivodship in 2005 and 2010-2016 and selected data by months of 2015 and 2016.

Report on the socio-economic situation of Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship" contains a broad set of statistical information characterising phenomena which are important for the development of region. Selected information for Poland and other voivodships have been also presented, which enables ranking Zachodniopomorskie against other regions. The publication is composed of an analytical part illustrated with maps and graphs presenting tendencies over a number of years and tables in which basic statistical data are included

The source of data on the capacity and occupancy of tourist accommodation establishments in Poland is a continual survey of the Central Statistical Office, based on KT-1 reports on occupancy of tourist accommodation establishments in each month. Reporting units report on precise location, type and category of an establishment as well as on the number of: rooms, beds and catering establishments. Moreover they inform on occupation of an establishment in a given month, i.e. on the number of days when an establishment is open, nominal number of overnight stays and/or rooms, as well as tourists accommodated and number of overnight stays and rented rooms (separately for foreign tourists).

Processes taking place in the national economy within the voivodship, including phenomena significant from the socio-economic development of the region, e.g. demographic processes, trends observed on the labour market, trends related to inflation, wages in the basic areas of the national economy (industry, construction, agriculture, selected services), business entities, financial performance of non-financial companies, inputs. The presented categories are shown in a dynamic perspective (last 5 years) and in comparison to national averages.
