Foreign trade turnover in January - February 2022 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 226.6 bn, while in imports - PLN 240,8 bn. The negative balance reached the level of PLN 14.2 bn, while in the same period of 2021 year was positive and amounted to PLN 7.8 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of 2021 exports increased by 18.6%, while imports by 31.4%.

Consumer prices in March 2022, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 11,0% (with an increase of prices of goods by 11,6% and services by 9,1%). As related to the previous month consumer prices increased by 3,3% (of which goods by 4,1% and services by 0,8%).

Statistics Poland informs that the price index of consumer goods and services in the 1st quarter of 2022 as related to the 4th quarter of 2021 amounted to 103.8 (price increase of 3.8%).

Total growth of gross domestic product at constant prices for 2016-2021 was 123.5.

Nominal result of government sector for the period 2018-2021 was: in 2018 deficit of 5 193 million zł, in 2019 deficit of 16 901 million zł, in 2020 deficit of 161 675 million zł, in 2021 deficit of 49 008 million zł.

Based on Article 38b point 3 of the Act of 27 August 2009 on public finances (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 305, as amended[1]) it is announced that the medium-term rate of gross domestic product index at current prices amounted to 105.99.
