Foreign trade turnover[1] in January – December 2022 (based on temporary data[2]) in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 1 607.3 bn, while in imports - PLN 1 699.8 bn. The negative balance reached the level of PLN 92.5 bn, while in the same period of 2021 year was negative and amounted to PLN 7.0 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of 2021 exports increased by 22.1%, while imports by 28.5%.

According to preliminary data, in January 2023 consumer prices increased by 17,2% compared with the corresponding month of the previous year. As related to the previous month consumer prices increased by o 2,4%.

In 2020 the value of costs incurred by enterprises for the purchase of external services accounted for PLN 526.1 billion. The costs of services purchase index increased by 22.0 pp compared to the corresponding index in 2015.

At the end of 2022, there were 968720 entities of the national economy registered, i.e. by 4.4% more than in the previous year. Over half of the units (54.2%) had their seat in m.st. Warszawa. The largest number of entities (20.0%) dealt with trade; repair of motor vehicles, however the highest increase as compared to 2021 occurred in the section of information and communication (by 16.3%).
