An analytical publication on the regional development of Poland (fifth edition), is prepared for the purposes of monitoring the National Strategy for Regional Development 2030. It covers the diagnosis of phenomena related to the monitoring of environmental threats, demographic processes, conditions for the development of human and social capital, economy  and infrastructure, as well as the administrative potential of local governments (including their financial condition, territory space management).

This publication provides a summary of the year 2023, along with 16 reports on the socio-economic situation of voivodships, also closely related to monitoring the implementation of the strategic goals of the NSRD 2030

The publication presents an analysis of development issues in territorial breakdowns as well as for the areas of strategic intervention (ASI) defined in the NSRD 2030. The first part describes the socio-economic situation of the NUTS 2 regions as well as of Eastern Poland and Śląskie against the national level. In the following parts, the analysis covers spatial delimitations in terms of the urban dimension (including cities losing socio-economic functions), gminas threatened by permanent marginalisation and rural areas according to the statistical delimitation.
