In August of 2016, sold production of industry was by 7.5% higher than in August of 2015, whereas a decrease of 20.5% was reported in construction and assembly production. In the period January-August of 2016, sold production of industry was by 3.7% higher than in the corresponding period of 2015 which saw a 4.5% increase, whereas construction and assembly production was by 14.9% lower than in the corresponding period of 2015 which saw a 3.7% increase.

According to preliminary data, the prices of sold production of industry in August 2016 were lower of 0.3% than the previous month.

In the period of eight months of 2016 there were more dwellings completed than the year before. The number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project and the number of dwellings in which construction has begun also increased.

From January to July of 2016, exports at current prices amounted to PLN 455339.5 mln, while imports amounted to PLN 436501.5 mln. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 18838.0 mln, while in the previous year PLN 7158.9 mln.
