562.4 thous. notarial deeds relating to real estate sales were concluded in 2019, by 7.1% more than in the previous year. Compared to 2018 the highest increase in the number of notarial deeds concerned sales of land properties (by 16.3%), sales of properties buit-up with residential buildings (by 14.7%) and sales of agricultural land (by 5.6%). The largest decrease was recorded in the case of notarial deeds on the transfer of properties by the State Treasury or local self-government bodies for perpetual usufruct with the sale of building (by 49.9%) as well as the sales of perpetual usufruct right (by 12.7%) and sales of properties to the State Treasury or local selfgovernment bodies (by 11.4%).

In June 2020 entities having 50 or more persons employed and participating in the monthly survey of production of industrial products, on voluntary basis additionally reported production of 1 842 143 face masks used in medicine and 10 965 412 other protective face masks.

In July 2020, there was an improvement in both current and future consumer sentiment moods compared to the previous month. The current consumer confidence indi-cator, synthetically describing the current trends in indi-vidual consumption, was -13.4a which was by 6.0 p.p. higher in relation to last month.

In July general business climate indicator is less negative than in June in most of presented kinds of activities. In information and communication sector it is even slightly positive, whereas the most pessimistic assessments are reported by companies operating in the field of accommodation and food service activities. Improvement is observed both in assessments (“diagnosis”) and expectations (“forecast”).

In June 2020 retail sales1 at constant prices were by 1.3% lower than the year before (against a growth of 3.7% in June 2019). Compared with May 2020 retail sales increased by 8.4%. In the period of January-June2 2020 retail sales y/y were by 5.2% lower (against a growth of 6.2% in 2019).
