In October 2020, there was a deterioration in both current and future consumer sentiment moods compared to the previous month. The current consumer confidence indicator, synthetically describing the current trends in individual consumption, was -20.0a which was by 5.0 p.p. lower in relation to last month.

In the period of nine months of 2020, there were more dwellings completed than the year before. The number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project and the number of dwellings in which construction has begun decreased.

In all presented kinds of activities general business climate indicator in October is at a lower level than in the previous month (except for wholesale trade).

According to preliminary data in September 2020 the prices of construction and assembly production in comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year increased by 2.5% and in comparison with August 2020 - by 0.3%.

In September 2020, sold production of industry was by 5.9% higher than in September 2019, when an increase was recorded by 5.6% as compared to the previous year, whereas in comparison with August 2020, it increased by 15.5%. In the period January-September of 2020, sold production of industry was by 3.2% lower than in the corresponding period of 2019, which saw a growth by 4.5%.

The value of total assets acumulated by investment fund societies at the end of first half of 2020 amounted to PLN 2.6 billion (an increase of 2.4% compared to the firsthalf of 2019).

According to preliminary data in September 2020 the prices of sold production of industry decreased in comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year by 1.6% but in comparison with August 2020 increased by 0.1%.
