In January 2020, sold production of industry was by 1.1% higher than in January 2019, when the growth was recorded by 6.0%, whereas in comparison with December 2019, it increased by 4.5%.

According to preliminary data in January 2020 the prices of sold production of industry were higher in comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year by 0.8% and in comparison with December 2019 by 0.1%.

In January 2020 compared to December 2019 procurement prices of basic agricultural products decreased by 1.4%, of which pigs for slaughter (by 4.6%) and cows’ milk (by 1.8%).

Announced that the average monthly wage and salary in the national economy less contributions for retirement pension insurance, disability insurance and sickness insurance deducted from earnings of the persons insured in 2020 amounted to PLN 4 512.41, and in the second half of 2020 amounted to PLN 4 651.78.

In January 2020, average paid employment in enterprise sector was higher by 1.1% y/y and amounted to 6440.9 thousand, and average gross wages and salaries were higher by 7.1% y/y and amounted to 5282.80 PLN.

Average monthly wage and salary in national economy diminished by obligatory social insurance taxes paid by the insured person in 2019 was PLN 4294,67 and in the second half-year of 2019 was PLN 4434,58

Price index of construction and assembly production in the fourth quarter of 2019 as compared to the third quarter of 2019 increased by 0,7%.
