In July 2021, sold production of industry was by 9.8% higher than in July 2020, when an increase was recorded by 1.1% as compared to the previous year, whereas in comparison with June 2021, it decreased by 3.9%.

According to preliminary data, the prices of sold production of industry in July 2021 increased compared to June 2021 by 1.2 % and compared to that recorded in the corresponding month of the previous year - by 8.2%.

Procurement prices of basic agricultural products decreased in July 2021 in comparison with the previous month (by 1.8%), while compared to the corresponding period of last year increased (by 16.4%). In July 2021 compared to June this year, procurement prices of most agricultural products decreased. The prices of oat, maize and poultry were higher.

In July 2021, average paid employment in enterprise sector was higher by 1.8% y/y and amounted to 6361.7 thousand, while average wages and salaries were higher by 8.7% y/y and amounted to 5851.87 PLN (gross).

In August 2021, there was an deterioration in both current and future consumer sentiment moods compared to the previous month. The current consumer confidence indicator, synthetically describing the current trends in individual consumption, was -14.6a which was by 1.1 p.p. lower in relation to last month.

Foreign trade turnover1 in January – June 2021 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 621.2 bn, while in imports - PLN 603.8 bn. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 17.3 bn, while in the same period of 2020 year amounted to PLN 16.7 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of 2020 exports increased by 27.4%, while imports by 28.3%.

Price index of consumer goods and services in July 2021 as related to June 2021 amounted to 100.4 (price increase of 0.4%).
