Arithmetic mean
Definition:
The classical measure of position, the central tendency, being the quotient of the sum of the observed values of the measurable variable divided by the number of observations. The method of calculating the arithmetic mean may be different and depends on the type of statistical series data. The arithmetic mean is an abstract value, ie its value does not have to be in the statistical series on the basis of which it was determined.
