At the end of the first quarter of 2022, there were 158.7 thousand job vacancies in Poland, 44.0% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year.

At the end of the first quarter of 2022, there were 158.7 thousand job vacancies in Poland, 44.0% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year. Over the year, the number of newly created jobs decreased slightly (by 1.0%). On the other hand, the number of jobs liquidated during the quarter increased (by 16.6%). In the first quarter of 2022, there were 2.3 newly created jobs per liquidated job.

At the end of 2021, there were operating 258 health resort facilities. 599.9 thousand patients were admitted to health resort facilities during a year, of which 529.9 thousand were inpatients. 61.0 thousand inpatients were treated in 43 inpa-tient rehabilitation facilities.

As of the end of 2021, there were 3944 operating centres of culture, cultural establishments, cultural centres, clubs and community centres. During the year entities organised 156.6 thousand events, in which took part 18.3 million participants.

In 2020, the financial situation of households slightly improved despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic , which had a significant impact on the level and structure of expenditure in particular. Households achieved both higher income and expenditure. The level of average monthly available income per capita in 2021 rounded to 1 PLN, amounted to PLN 2062 and in real terms it was higher by 2.2% (by 7.4% in nominal terms) than the income in 2020.

In April 2022 entities having 50 or more persons employed and participating in the monthly survey of production of industrial products, reported production of 12 363 980 face masks used in medicine and 6 422 665 other protective face masks.

In April 2022, average paid employment in the enterprise sector compared to April 2021 was higher by 2.8% y/y and amounted to 6496.6 thousand full-time equivalents. In comparison to the previous month average paid employment increased minimally (by 0.2%).

In all of presented kinds of activities general business climate indicator in May is at a higher or similar level as compared to the previous month. In most of researched areas “forecast” components improve, whereas “diagnostic” ones increase or do not change. The most positive indicator is noted by two sections – financial and insurance activities as well as information and communication,

In 2021 there were 185 theatres and music institutions. They presented 30.0 thousand performances/concerts with 4.7 million audience. 717 premieres took place. Theatres and music institutions had 3.8 thousand performances in their repertoire.

In 2021, exhibition activities were conducted by 313 art galleries (1.9% more in comparison to 2020). Art galleries organised 3.1 thousand exhibitions in Poland, visited by 3.4 million people.
