In June the assessments of general business climate indicator in all of presented kinds of activities are at a slightly higher or similar level as compared to the ones presented in May. In all areas, except for retail trade, the indicator is below the long-term mean . In majority of the areas, month-to-month level of "diagnostic" components improves, whereas "prognostic" ones do not change.

As of the end of 2022 7,638 public libraries and branches operated, which conducted 875 branches for children and youth and 805 library service points. Public libraries had 124.4 million volumes of collection, which was borrowed by 5.1 million library users.

At the end of the first quarter of 2023, there were 114.9 thousand job vacancies in Poland, 0.7% fewer, as compared with the fourth quarter of 2022. The job vacancy rate was 0.90%. The highest value of this rate was recorded in the Information and communication section (2.03%).

Statistics in focus The situation of households in 2022 on the basis of results of the Household Budget Survey

In 2022 the financial situation of households, despite the increase in the average monthly available income, in real terms it worsened, which results from a high level of inflation. Households achieved both higher income and expenditure. The level of average monthly available income per capita in 2022 rounded to 1 PLN, amounted to PLN 2250 and was higher by 11.4% in nominal terms, but lower by 2.6% in real terms than the income in 2021. The average monthly expenditure per capita in households in 2022 amounted to PLN 1475 and was higher by 15.2% in nominal terms, and by 0.7% in real terms than expenditure in 2021. Expenditure on consumer goods and services amounted to PLN 1420 and was higher by 14.9% in nominal terms, and by 0.4% in real terms in comparison with 2021. After a 2-year period of an exceptionally low share of expenditure in available income, it increased from 63.4% in 2021 to 65.6% in 2022, but it still remains at a level significantly below the value from 2019.

As of the end of 2022, there were 3958 operating centres of culture, cultural establishments, cultural centres, clubs and community centres. During the year these entities organised 227.3 thousand events, in which took part 27.3 million participants.

Statistics in focus Therapeutic activities of health resort facilities and inpatient rehabilitation facilities in 2022

At the end of 2022, there were operating 254 health resort facilities. 819.9 thousand patients were admitted to health resort facilities during a year, of which 742.0 thousand were inpatients. 74.5 thousand inpatients were treated in 44 inpatient rehabilitation facilities.
