Rates of economic poverty risk in Poland in 2024

After the increase recorded in 2023, there was a decrease in the extent of extreme poverty risk in 2024 (by 1.4 percentage points, from 6.6% to 5.2% of people in households). However, the decline was smaller than the mentioned increase between 2022 and 2023. However, the decrease was smaller than the aforementioned increase between 2022 and 2023.
At the same time, in 2024, the extent of relative poverty risk increased (by 1.1 percentage points to 13.3%) and the extent of 'legal' poverty risk decreased (by 1.5 percentage points from 4.1% to 2.6%, with the thresholds for this type of poverty risk unchanged from 2022).
