Within the scope of this methodological report there are presented methodological-organisational principles regarding the survey Employment in the national economy, which shows the organisational status up to 2019. The information presented in the report describes the current implementation of the surveys, which objective is providing the data allowing compilation by the Statistics Poland of the statistics concerning the number of employed persons in the monthly, quarterly and annual periods by the kind of activity, ownership sectors or territorial division. The information is necessary for the assessment of the current situation on the labour market, which is the basis for social-economic policy by the Government, while at the local level by the local government units. The data also serve for carrying out analyses and are used in various projects carried out by universities and research centers. In addition, they are often taken into account in the decision making process by entrepreneurs and other analysts of the labour market and economic situation.
