According to final data, the average paid employment in the national economy in 2024 was 11 038.8 thousand full-time equivalents and remained at a similar level relative to the previous year.
In 2024, as in previous years, the largest number of full-time equivalents (22.6%) were concentrated in the Manufacturing section. Compared with 2023, the average paid employment increased in most sections, with the largest increases in the Arts, entertainment and recreation section (by 2.7%) and the Accommodation and catering section (by 2.3%). Decreases in the average paid employment were recorded in eight sections, with the largest decreases in the Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply section (by 3.1%) and the Administrative and support service activities section (by 2.1%). The average paid employment in the Real estate activities section remained unchanged relative to the previous year.
