According to final data, in 2022, the average paid employment in the national economy was 11.0 million full-time equivalent employees. There were 1.5% more of them compared with the previous year.
Compared with 2021, the average paid employment increased in the majority of sections, with the highest increase recorded in the Information and communication section (by 10.8%) and the Accommodation and catering∆ section (by 8.6%). Decrease in the average paid employment was recorded in three sections, with the highest decrease in the Agriculture, forestry and fishing (by 1.3%). In the Trade; repair of motor vehicles∆ section the average paid employment remained at the same lavel as in the previous year.
